Works well, very consistent voltage

First and foremost, Pegasus was great with shipping these to me fast using the standard free shipping. I actually ordered some regular magnetic transformers and xenon puck lights in 2008, and now I ordered 3 of these to upgrade those very lights to some under-cabinet LEDs for my kitchen. I must say, they all work very well so far.
What I like about this particular transformer is that you can take it out of its plastic shell so that you can put it in an outlet box, even one of the low-profile outlet boxes! That's exactly what I did in my kitchen and it fit with some room to spare for the wires.
When I opened up the transformer shell to check out the inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the parts that were used. On a single PCB is a basic magnetic transformer followed by a toroidal inductor, which then goes into a full-wave diode bridge, and lastly two filter capacitors. Upon testing the output voltage with a multimeter, I noticed a very consistent voltage. Even when the central A/C unit or fridge comes on and causes the rest of the lights to dim, this transformer keeps a steady voltage. The LEDs I hooked up to this also do not flicker the slightest bit. I even looked at them through my digital camera and cell phone and didn't see any flickering.
The connectors for incoming AC and outgoing DC are also quite secure. You can put the leads into the screw-type clamps and the clamps do a good job of keeping the wires in place. No soldering or copper-twisting is required, thankfully.
-Can be taken out of its case to fit inside outlet boxes (see above)
-LEDs don't flicker (see above for details)
-Transformer doesn't get hot
-Clamps hold wire leads securely
Cons:Slight hum from transformer, but barely noticeable. When the fridge comes on or am doing anything in the kitchen, I can't hear it
