These colored glass light filters will cover MR11, MR16, and PAR20 halogen lamps to produce your desired hue. Select your lamp type and color, or order a custom color for a large quantity order.

• Use: designed to provide a specific type of colored light
• 7 Colors: red, amber, yellow, green, emerald green, light blue, blue
• Custom Colors: certain custom colors might be possible if the quantity is large
• Colored Glass: this term means that the glass is formed with the color in the glass as opposed to the color being coated on the surface. This is accomplished by mixing various metal oxides in the glass composition. These colored glass filters are primarily used for aesthetic purposes in lighting. They are not designed for the precise control of the spectral bands, as are optical color filters (dichroic filters).
• Tempered Glass: these colored glass filters are tempered, which means that the glass is cooled in a special manner in order to give the filter additional strength, resistance to thermal stress, and impact resistance
• Thickness: each of the colored glass filters below is 1/8in thick (0.125in or 3.175 mm)
• Several Sizes: colored glass filters are available in the sizes listed below. [Caution: The size of the colored glass filter should be determined by what will hold the filter in place (a filter holder and/or the light fixture) and not by the diameter of the lamp (light bulb).]
  1.338in diameter – normally used with MR11 light fixtures
  1.968in diameter – normally used with MR16 light fixtures
  3.740in diameter – normally used with PAR20 light fixtures
  Custom Diameter – total order must be for 100+ pieces of one size
• Attachment: many light fixtures have a mechanism for attaching a colored glass filter. This mechanism sometimes comes with the fixture or is an accessory that can be purchased from the fixture manufacturer.
