Questions & Answers
By Chris Madden from Lee's Summit, MO on June 16, 2014
Few questions.

1) I see some products that place the dimmer on the low voltage line itself and others that (like this one) place the dimmers on the high voltage side and seem to reduced the power going into the transformer itself. Is one method better than another?

2) If I purchase this switch and PODX-300P-TB will I be able to dim incandescent low voltage lights?

3) If I decide to use LED bulbs do I have to be concerned with polarity?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on June 16, 2014

Answer:
1. Dimming on the line voltage side is the standard for incandescent low voltage lighting. Dimming on the low voltage side is a technology occasionally used with LED light sources.

2. Yes you will.

3. When dimming LED light bulbs you need to be concerned with compatibility. Not all LED bulbs are compatible with magnetic transformers and magnetic dimmers.

I see that this dimmer is " designed for low voltage xenon or halogen light fixtures powered by magnetic transformers" is it also compatible with your "LED button puck lights "?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on April 28, 2014

Answer:
Chris, yes it is compatible with the dimmable LED drivers for use with the button puck lights.
