Best LED Light Bulb

Recently I tried a number of different light bulbs to replace my 60-watt to 100-watt incandescent ones in my house. I tried halogen and CFL bulbs in addition to this LED light bulb. This LED light bulb is AWESOME! I loved it. It was dimmable. It was the most energy efficient. It gave off a nice light. It was bright right away with no warm up like CFL. While this is the best price I can find for this light bulb it is still pricey to replace all of the light bulbs in my house. However, I am hopeful that in the near future these prices will come down with more LED production. Plus, it is kind of ugly looking. I will try to use it in light fixtures where you can not see the lamp inside. For those other fixtures, like pendant lights, I will probably not use this light bulb.

Finally! These bulbs put out a warmer/yellowish light that does seem just about as bright as a 60W bulb for only ~12.5W actual energy use. Won't know about the 25,000 hour lifetime for a while, but so far very happy with these.

Pros:

Warm color of light. (2700K) Low energy use. Appears to be very sturdy Works correctly with motion detector socket Unlike CFLs, it's not hazardous waste if you break it.

Cons:

Pricey (but not if they meet their lifetime spec).
