Fits Halo 5 inch cans just fine. Solid, all metal construction so no need to worry about cheap construction. I haven't seen the Halo original equipment to compare, but these seem to do the trick at a fraction of the cost.
The one extremely minor nitpick detail is that some of the trims have to get an extra few pushes to have them pop into place in the can - most of them just snapped right in without any problems though. Altogether, out of 8 cans, it took me an extra minute total to snug them up. Of course this might also happen with the official Halo trim as well - so maybe it's just a fact of life.
