Description of 3-Inch Low Voltage Remodel Recessed Lighting Housing

This three-inch recessed lighting housing is fully dimmable, UL listed for damp locations, and compatible with a wide array of decorative trims so you can hand-select your style. This recessed housing can be installed in an existing sheet rock ceiling.

RECESSED HOUSING

• Dimensions: only 4-5/8in high x 3.25in wide x 11in long
• 3in Ceiling Cutout: only 3 inches in diameter
• Mounting: three remodeling spring clips secure housing in place and accommodate various ceiling thicknesses
• Ceiling Insulation: because this housing is not IC-rated ceiling insulation must be kept at least 3 inches away from all outside surfaces of the housing
• Housing Voltage: 120 volts

LIGHT BULBS

• Lamps: uses either a 12-volt MR16 halogen light bulb (20, 35, or 50 watts)
  or
  a 12-volt JC bipin halogen light bulb with a G6.35 base (30 watts)
  Lamps are ordered separately on the Accessories tab and the specific lamp to be used is determined by the 3-Inch Low Voltage Trim
  that is selected.

ELECTRICAL FEATURES

• Integral Magnetic Transformer: Class H thermally protected 12-volt magnetic transformer preinstalled to outside of fixture's junction box (J-box)
• Separate Transformer Support: this remodel housing, like all good remodel housings, has a separate support mechanism for the transformer, so that the weight of the transformer does not put undue stress on the housing clips that hold the housing flush to the sheetrock
• Junction Box: J-box is listed for through branch circuit wiring
• Several Knockouts: junction box has five 3/4in knockouts
• UL Listed for Damp Location: this housing is UL Listed for damp locations
